Our story

From Honduras, with respect for tradition and people

Batana oil has been made in Honduras for generations. We decided to bring it unchanged — pure, honest and fair to everyone who works on it.

Origin

The oil comes from the nuts of the ojon palm, harvested in the rainforests of Honduras by a traditional hand method.

Communities

We buy directly from local harvesters at a fair price, without middlemen. The tradition stays alive and meaningful.

Purity

Only the oil goes into the bottle — nothing added, diluted or perfumed. Just as it should be.

How it's made

Traditional method, no shortcuts

The nuts are roasted, ground and boiled until a deep-golden oil is released. The whole process is done by hand and can take a full day.

The result is an extraordinarily rich oil full of vitamin E and fatty acids — exactly as locals have used it for centuries.

Heritage from the rainforest

The tradition of the Miskito communities in Honduras

The indigenous Miskito communities in the rainforests of Honduras have used batana fruit for generations as natural hair and skin care. The oil is obtained by a traditional hand method passed down over centuries.

We work directly with local harvesters and respect sustainable practices — so every bottle supports both the community and the nature it comes from.
